Coldplay, Mylo Xyloto Melbourne Show November 13, 2012.

This was something I forbade myself to miss out on and I am so glad that I didn’t chicken out from buying tickets! I was a little concerned that it was just 2 days before 2 of my most important exams but I told myself that I should be prepared 2 days before those exams anyway, if I wasn’t then that would be entirely my fault. And it felt like I was [prepared]. (Let’s just wait for the results).

Anyway, the concert… oh the concert. I don’t even know where to begin with trying to explain it! I was just extremely amazed by every single aspect of it. The pyrotechnics, confetti canons, giant neon bouncy balls, the xylobands, the crowd and every single performance. It’s too difficult to put into words how exactly it made me feel. I haven’t been to a concert that’s left me in this state of a daze for a year or two now. 

The Temper Trap deserves a special mention, too. They sounded so bloody perfect. I wanted to cry! My favourites from their set were Miracles, Sweet Disposition Where Do We Go From Here, Love Lost, I’m Gonna Wait and Trembling Hands… okay so basically almost the whole set. Seriously though, they were just so crisp!! I love you, Dougy!!! Hooray for being Melbournians. 

COLDPLAY. GAAAAAHHHHDDDD. How. Do. I. Even. Begin. Let me just tell you how painfully messy the mosh pit was:

After The Temper Trap (TTT) played their set, the mosh became an instant sardine can. I thought that it was already stuffy enough but no.. no.. no.. people got way too excited for the next 45 mins after TTT. Thankfully, halfway through Coldplay’s set, the mosh dispersed a little, breathing didn’t seem much of a challenge and no one had to elbow or knee me anymore. Haha. 

Another interesting thing was that just a couple of people from me was a guy smoking weed. WHAT THE PHO DUDE. Foreal? Just as Coldplay got on stage this dude lights up his roll and decides to get high.. It’s okay, I didn’t. Too many people were squashing me and breathing into my face that it pretty much eliminated any chance of me breathing it in. Phew. Although, I was slightly worried at one point that one of my girls had experienced the whiff. She seemed a little out of it. hahha. 

ANYWAY…………………. Coldplay. To sum their set up, I forgot about who I was for a little while and fell in love with life all over again when I heard them play. Gah. I swear on my life that I will NEVER ever EVER let myself miss out on any chances that I have of seeing them perform live.

P.P.S. Don’t mind the extremeness at the last few seconds, I promise you that it isn’t me. There were 2 girls who reeked of Vodka right in front of me. It was them.
