Comm-unity

It’s unfortunate that sometimes the people you think that you can rely on and count to have your back despite any decision or actions you take are the ones who do you wrong in moments of need. I’m not talking first hand experience here (although, there have been moments when things have slightly felt that way).

I wish that this community lived up to what they preach. Now, I can clearly see that they are too toxic to even come into contact with. Each move, each word spoken feels like it will be archived and used against you. They’re there for the rapturous moments but once that’s not the case, say hello to goodbyes. They prance around with their noses high up in the air and slowly lead you into a state of faltering.

For this realization, today, I say thank You (again) to the Lord for my family. Most especially to my cousins who have never ever left me when I made decisions they may not have agreed with. For letting me cry when I need it, for listening to my pointless rants and my never ending stories about crushing on someone. For not judging, for being the best cousins. You guys are my home here in Oz (Mum, bro and my aunts too!). I know I always just invade your spaces but know that’s cos you guys are always so much fun to hang with even if we do nothing.

Nothing better than knowing you have your own little community (even if it’s just your family, or your group of friends) that will always ALWAYS be there.

(I know this post seems so cliché but I really just want to express how I feel to all of you and let everyone know how amazing my cousins are).

Thank you so much to Skechers and Schu Bar for these super comfortable and stylish shoes. I am a growing shoe lover and definitely think comfort first so it’s a plus that the shoes look good too!

Can’t wait to pull more shoes out when I’m back in Manila. :)
